I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person complaining right now, and I'm pretty much positive I'm not the only pregnant women complaining right now about the heat.
Today isn't even the worst of the heat we've had but today I had to walk about a 7 minute walk from the road I parked on to the 4th floor of the hospital in the heat (both ways). By the way it's only 33 degrees Celsius today (that's 91 Fahrenheit for those that don't do Celsius) but there's also 51% humidity on top of that.
I don't mind the heat personally and really haven't complained to much but there is a part of me that doesn't appreciate it so much and that's my feet.
Check it out! Those suckers are swollen. I've been back from the hospital and sitting at work for about 3 hours and my feet are still swollen and too big for my cute shoes!
Anyway, I just had to complain! Thanks for listening!
Are you enjoying the heat? What's your biggest complaint about the summer heat? Any suggestions for un-swelling (is that even a word) my feet?

You should come to Scotland, I think we've reached over 20'C twice this summer and we had hailstones a couple of days ago. I can see the trees changing already so it'll soon be autumn!
ReplyDeleteHope your feet get back to normal soon so you can wear your cute shoes again.

Sorry to hear that your feet are swelling now Kandi. We really didn't get any time today to talk and then when we finally made it home I have to say I never even noticed that they were swollen. Sorry! Hopefully, with rest tonight they will go down to normal again. Try getting a little stool or footrest to keep your feet elevated a little. I hope it isn't a sign of the way it is going to be from now to the end of your pregnancy.

you think your feet are bad...you should've seen mine, and it was WINTER!! i came across pics of them when we were compiling a list of pics to get developed and it actually made me cringe...GROSS!
ReplyDeletei couldn't even think of cute shoes, so good on ya for trying! ;)
Thanks for all the comments! My feet have definitely been better the last couple of days but they swell up much more than the last time I was pregnant! Oh well, the outcome is totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteYour feet still look cute, but I know they must feel awful! I hated swelling up in the heat when I was pregnant. Hope fully things will cool off soon and you'll feel better :)
ReplyDeleteOh honey I can relate! I posted often when I was pregnant about my swollen feet. You can see mine here: http://pleasestickitinthefridge.blogspot.com/2008/05/after_4871.html
