I always get excited when she says she wants to make something for us! We talked today and she'd really like to make something for "baby brother" but is having a hard time finding something that she doesn't think is to girly. I haven't found much that is too girly looking and think there are so many amazing things on the net that she could make that I start to get a little giddy! LOL
I did a quick good search today to see what I could come up with and give her a little inspiration. Here are a few of the things I showed her that I thought would be perfect for "baby boy".
What do you think? To girly?
While you're at it, head on over to my moms blog (Everyday Life) and tell her that she's great and that she needs to get really into her craft and start posting things online and showing the world her talent! :) She needs the encouragment sometimes!
Thanks mom! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for "Baby Brother"
Thank you Kandi for the encouragement! I would love to be more confident in what I make and would love to make the kiddos so much more. I hope you get some feedback on some of the items or get some patterns sent to you for boys. Can't guarentee I can make what may be sent but willing to try!
ReplyDeleteI have an idea what I am going to try next...well let you in on it if it is going well. LOL!!!
I got a great children/ babies knitting book from "Clay & Cloth" in Waterloo Town Square that are really modern and adorable. I can't remember what it is called, but you are welcome to borrow it and copy some patterns.
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I would love to take a look at the book you got! I'll e-mail you! :) Thanks
ReplyDeletethis is one of the sweaters that i'm in the process of making Todd, by the time i'm done it he'll likely be too big (if he isn't already). i'm not using bernat cotton tots though, i'm using bernat satin in a slate grey and really dark royal teal. http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=1177
ReplyDelete(you might have to become a member to view it, there's more sweater patterns on there too!).
