  • Our motto is "From Sea to Sea"
  • We have a desert - yes that's right it's in British Columbia and is called Osoyoos (It's only 15 miles long)
  • Canada has the longest coastline in the world at 202, 080 km
  • Hockey and Lacrosse are Canada's national sports
  • Toronto is the largest city with more the 5 million people and they hold more university degrees then any other big city in the world
  • We (Canadians) consume more macaroni and cheese then any other place on earth
  • The baseball glove was invented here
Interesting eh?!

#GetOutdoors Challenge #3

June 20, 2011 1 Comments
This weeks challenge over at A Busy Mommy was to just get outside.  Unfortunately Jen has had some sponsorship issues so she didn't have much of a challenge this week and I therefore don't have many pictures.  We spend so much time outside each and every week so I sometimes forget to get photos.  Lucky for me, I'm camera happy and LOVE to take photos/videos of my kiddos so I do have a few!

The kids and I went to the trailer on Thursday (Daddy showed up Friday night) and of course we spend A TON of time outside there.  That's why we love it there, we went swimming at the beach (I can't believe I forgot to get photos of the first time E went "swimming", and H swimming to the dock and jumping)!  Oh well next time for sure!   We went fishing, bbqing, baseball playing, bon-firing, lounging, etc.  We did it all and had a great time doing it!

Hanging out on the deck with his toys!

Her favorite summer activity...FISHING!

Outdoor Adventure Challenge - Challenge #2

June 13, 2011 1 Comments
This weeks challenge over at A Busy Mommy was a Scavenger Hunt!  (Here's the list, if you'd like to take a look around for yourself, some of them are pretty tough to find)

Jen compiled a list of things for us to find outside and we were required to take a photo of it and post it for others to see!  How fun is that!

We headed to the zoo to see what all we could find.  I think in all the excitement I actually forgot to get photos of a few of the things but I did get most!

Here they are!
A tree
A Stump
A tent
A Flower
A seed
A frog
A bird
A body of water
A dandylion

A bridge

A lilypad

A bear! :)

A fun one of all of us! :)  What a great trip!
Be sure to check out the challenge!  It's great fun!

#GetOutdoors Challenge #1

June 05, 2011 1 Comments
We've spent a lot of time outside this week because it's been GORGEOUS!  It's so nice that this warm weather is finally here.

This weeks challenge over at Jen's blog (A Busy Mommy) was to simply "Get Outdoors".

I'm pretty sure we've met this challenge

We've been for a walk, we've been to the park, we've been in the garden, we've "geo cached" and we've spent MANY hours in the backyard.

Playing in the sandbox at the trailer!

Out for a walk/scooter ride Uptown!  It was so nice to take in the shops around us and enjoy the day!  BEAUTIFUL!

Heading outside!  Don't forget the sunscreen!  This was the HOTTEST day so far and it surpassed 40C
Everyone enjoying the shade! @Krystal Osmond joined us under the umbrella this day!

A cute video of the kiddos on the swing the other day!  How cute are they!?

How to "pop up" fold cloth wipes

June 04, 2011 0 Comments
Just a quick tutorial on how I keep track of all my cloth wipes.  We have just recently made the switch over to 100% cloth wipes so the left over disposable wipe containers are great for this.

If you have any suggestions for a solution that you like to keep your wipes moist, please let me know by either leaving a comment or sending me an email.  I am especially looking for something to keep my "extra" wipes on the go moist, for quick face washes, ouchie clean ups, etc.

Thanks
